AVAD Business VoIP Network Architecture
Get the business-class voice quality and the reliability that your users demand. Not all Business VoIP Service Providers who sell to the business community engineer their systems for business-class voice quality. Some VoIP Service Providers intentionally design their system to meet the needs of prospective customers who are simply seeking lowest-price VoIP options. However, because these network designs typically do not incorporate QoS (Quality of Service) standards, they tend to be subject to extreme bandwidth fluctuations. The result: echo, delay, line noise, and other audible distractions that can be as irritating to your customers as to your employees.
The quality signal you hear over a AVAD Technologies voice line differs from VoIP Providers that have not invested in the network infrastructure required to deliver Business Class VoIP. That’s because we understand the importance of incorporating QoS parameters into our network design – to continually manage, monitor and prioritize your voice traffic. With AVAD Technologies, your business calls are transported securely, with QoS control mechanisms built into the network to assure the voice quality your users expect.
Here’s how it works:

The AVAD Technologies network architecture extends from the core platform to client-side devices – which are network-certified and engineered to meet the high Quality of Service (QoS) parameters required to optimize your voice traffic. Our goal is to help assure the continuous business-class quality of your calls, even when data traffic is high.
At the network core: BroadWorks, the industry’s leading VoIP applications platform, delivers services and features that provide unmatched interoperability, back-office capabilities, redundancy and scalability. Service options include Hosted PBX, Business Trunking, Business Line dial tone and overlay services for wireless users.
Gateway services are the intermediary to the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network, where most calls still originate and terminate). By using packet-routing technology and RTP switch-signaling to connect your calls to the PSTN, AVAD Technologies provides the speed and management required to maintain true business-class VoIP service.
Lower prices, higher value: The efficiencies built into the AVAD Technologies network design translate into lower costs for our customers. AVAD Technologies uses national IP-backbone carriers to deliver VoIP service across the country. These carriers – like Level 3, Paetec and others – specialize in moving traffic from peering points and facilitating connection to the PSTN, in much the same way that traditional telecommunications companies carry and terminate long distance calls.
It all adds up to what your organization needs: A network architecture that delivers reliable, business-class voice quality from the core to the customer premises … a wealth of calling services and features that are easy to manage and simple to use … and a dedicated team that combines hundreds of years of expertise in telephony and is passionately committed to the quality of the service we deliver every day to our small and medium-sized business customers.
